The present study examined the effects of the experiences of living in residential care facilities and adverse childhood experiences on depressive symptoms. People with and without the experience of living in residential care facilities were sampled on the Web. We analyzed the data of 75 people with the experience of living in residential care facilities and 96 people without the experience. Results showed that people with the experience of living in residential care facilities were more likely to have severe psychological distress than people without the experience. On the other hand, the effect of the experience of living in residential care facilities on the severity of psychological distress disappeared when adverse childhood experiences were taken into account in the analysis. In addition, adverse childhood experiences exacerbated psychological distress in both those who had and had not lived in residential care facilities in the same way. The results of this study suggest that the severity of psychological distress among those who experience living in residential care facilities may be strongly influenced by adverse childhood experiences.

Prevalent negative perceptions surrounding hypnosis have considerably eroded the social trust in hypnotherapists, who are professionals expected to offer interpersonal help through hypnosis. This study compared the levels of conscious and non-conscious social trust in hypnotherapists, hypnotists who misuse hypnosis, and psychotherapists (a collective term for professionals offering interpersonal help.) The conscious and non-conscious aspects of social trust in each professional category were assessed among 47 university students. Utilizing the semantic differential method and Implicit Association Test, the conscious and non-conscious
scores of social trust in hypnotherapists, psychotherapists, and hypnotists were obtained. The analysis revealed that both conscious and non-conscious scores of social trust were significantly higher for psychotherapists, followed by hypnotherapists and then hypnotists. However, the non-conscious scores of social trust in hypnotherapists were reversed from negative to positive when compared to psychotherapists or hypnotists. This suggests that it cannot be claimed that the trust in hypnotherapists is neutral. Our findings underscore the importance of disseminating accurate information about hypnosis to increase the social trust in hypnotherapists.Other Link： http://id.ndl.go.jp/bib/033436358

Accepting attitudes toward bullying in the general population have been suggested as one of the factors that exacerbate bullying and hinder its resolution. Shinto & Saito （2001）developed the five-subscale Bullying Acceptance Attitude Scale to assess these attitudes among junior high school students. However, the applicability of the scale to the general population is unclear, as is its internal consistency and factorial validity. Specifically, some subscales show low internal consistency, and one of the subscale names does not adequately reflect the attitudes being measured. In addition, the factor structure of the scale may vary between victims and perpetrators of bullying and between genders. This study re-examines the Bullying Acceptance Attitude Scale for internal consistency, factor validity, and factor invariance across different demographic groups to confirm its broader applicability. As a result, we adopted a three-factor solution, different from the original, which showed higher factor validity and internal consistency. In addition, we confirmed high factor invariance between those who have and have not experienced bullying victimization or perpetration, and between genders. These findings support the applicability of the scale to the general population.

Hypnosis is known as an effective technique to care for the mind and body. An evaluative attitude towards hypnosis is considered to be an important concept when examining the effects of hypnosis. This is because individuals’ attitude towards hypnosis is consistently positively related to hypnotizability, which is one of the factors that strongly predicts the effects of hypnosis. However, in Japan, the only scale that measure the attitude towards hypnosis is the Scale for Attitudes Toward Hypnosis（6-item version : Shimizu & Kodama, 2001 ; 12-item version : Shimizu, 2009 ; 5-item version : Shimizu, 2014, 2022）. Although the number of items in these scales has differed with each revision（6-item version : Shimizu & Kodama, 2001 ; 12-item version : Shimizu, 2009 ; 5-item version : Shimizu, 2014, 2022）, the internal consistency of the scales is generally high. However, test-retest reliability has not been examined in any of the versions. In the present study, we examined the test-retest reliability and reexamired the internal consistency of each version of this scale. Sixty-nine adults participated in two online surveys approximately one week apart. The analysis showed that all versions had high test-retest reliability（rs＞.81, ps＜.001）and internal consistency（αs＞.81）, but the 5-item version（Shimizu, 2014, 2022）has the highest reliable, due to its confirmed one-factor nature and the lowest variability the two between measures.

健康生成論（Antonovsky, 1979）では，首尾一貫感覚（Sense of Coherence; SOC）が汎抵抗資源（General Resistance Resources ; GRRs）を動員することで，効果的なストレス対処が可能になると仮定されている。ところが，SOC が心身の健康に及ぼす効果を検討した先行研究は多いのに対して，GRRs についての検討は不十分である。本研究では，Antonovsky（1979）が健康生成モデルで仮定したGRRs の６領域の分類の妥当性と，GRRs の各領域がSOC の各下位概念に及ぼす影響について検討した。質問票調査に回答した一般大学生197名のデータを使用した。因子分析により，Antonovsky（1979）が仮定したGRRs の分類に近い５領域モデルが妥当であると判断された。さらに，構造方程式モデリングによって，GRRs のいくつかの領域はSOC の各下位概念に異なる影響を及ぼすのに対して，それ以外のGRRs はいずれにも影響しないことが分かった。以上から，GRRs の各領域がSOC に及ぼす影響を検討する際には，GRRs の全領域を測定し，互いに他の影響を統制する必要があることが示唆された。

催眠療法の心身の疾患に対する有効性が認められているにも関わらず，催眠に対する否定的なイメージが流布しているせいで，わが国における催眠療法の活用は不十分であると言える。催眠の適切な普及と発展を促すには，催眠に対する態度（催眠態度）を改善する方法を開発する必要がある。催眠態度は催眠状態期待（主体性喪失期待，潜在能力解放期待）の影響を受けることから，本研究では催眠状態期待を適切に修正することを意図した3 種類の心理教育による意識的・非意識的催眠態度の変化の違いを検討した。54 名の一般大学生を3 つの条件（主体性喪失期待修正条件，潜在能力解放期待修正条件，統制条件）に割り付け，心理教育の実施前後で質問票調査を実施した。分析の結果，意識的催眠態度は，主体性喪失期待修正条件において事前の意識的催眠態度が否定的であった群と，事前の意識的催眠態度が否定的であった男性において肯定的に変化した。一方で，条件にかかわらず，事前の非意識的催眠態度が肯定的な場合は，心理教育により中庸化したのに対して，否定的な場合は変化しなかったことから，心理教育の効果は不十分であることが分かった。このことから，「操作的」とか「支配的」といった催眠に対する否定的なイメージを修正することが，催眠に対する忌避的態度を改善し，催眠療法の利用を促進する有効な手段であることが示唆された。心理教育の効果の性差には，わが国における伝統的ジェンダー観が影響していると考察された。
Despite the recognized efficacy of hypnotherapy in treating mental and physical disorders, its practice in Japan remains inefficient, probably due to the prevalence of negative and false images regarding hypnosis. Therefore, it is necessary to develop methods for improving attitudes towards hypnosis to facilitate its diffusion and development. Attitude towards hypnosis is affected by expectancies for the hypnotic state, including expectancy for loss of control and for released potentiality. Therefore, this study examined changes in conscious and nonconscious attitudes toward hypnosis caused by three types of psycho-education for correcting expectancies for the hypnotic state. University student participants (N = 54) were assigned to three conditions (correcting expectancies for loss of control, correcting expectancies for released potentiality, and the control). The participants responded to a questionnaire survey before and after psycho-education. The results indicated that conscious attitude towards hypnosis changed positively in students who previously had a negative conscious attitude towards hypnosis and men with previously negative conscious attitude towards hypnosis, assigned to the correcting expectancies for loss of control condition. In contrast, nonconscious attitudes toward hypnosis scores were closer to 0.0, which is the theoretical median for students that previously had a negative nonconscious attitude towards hypnosis and were assigned to all the conditions . However, nonconscious attitudes toward hypnosis did not change in the group with a previously negative nonconscious attitude towards hypnosis, suggesting that the effect of psycho-education was negligible. These findings suggest that changing the negative image of hypnosis, including images of being manipulative and controlling, is an effective method of improving the negative attitude towards hypnosis and promoting hypnotherapy. The traditional stereotype of gender in Japan might influence gender differences in the efficacy of psycho-education.DOI： 10.14990/00004201

いじめ被害者への有責性認知に関する従来の研究（例，福井・小山，2015；小山・福井，2014）では，対象者が大学生に限定されていた。年齢層が異なるサンプル間で見られた有意差が，年齢を統制後に消失すること（小山他，2020）から，いじめ被害・加害経験やいじめに対する認識の世代間差が反映されている可能性が示唆された（福井他，2020）。そこで，堀他（2021）は，いじめ被害者への有責性認知の非意識的側面には有意な世代間差があるのに対して，意識的側面にはないことを報告したが，いじめ被害者への有責性認知の意識的側面と非意識的側面の関連の世代間差は未検討であったため，本研究では一般成人を対象にこれを検討した。質問票には本研究では未使用の尺度も含まれており，データには堀他（2020a, b）をはじめとする一連の研究と一部重複がある。世代別に相関分析を行った結果，50～70代においてのみ，いじめ被害者への有責性認知の意識的側面と非意識的側面の間に有意な弱い正の相関（<i>r</i>＝.27, <i>p</i>＜.05）が見られた。今後，いじめ被害者への有責性認知の規定因を検討する際に，世代間差を考慮する必要性が示唆された。

催眠の普及を阻む壁として，催眠に対する否定的イメージに由来する忌避的態度が挙げられる。対人援助職対象の2日間の催眠研修への参加によって，意識的催眠態度（質問紙で測定）は肯定的に変化したのに対して，非意識的催眠態度（潜在連合テストで測定）は不変であることが報告された（福井他，2020）。この背景に，事前の各催眠態度の程度によって変化の方向性が正反対であったせいで，催眠研修参加の効果が相殺された可能性があると思われた。そこで，本研究では，59名の対人援助の専門職が参加した催眠研修のデータ（福井他，2020）を再分析して，事前の値と意識的・非意識的催眠態度得点の変化量の相関分析を行った。その結果，事前の意識的催眠態度とその変化量（<i>r</i>＝−.300, <i>p </i>＜.10）の負の，事前の非意識的催眠態度とその変化量（<i>r</i>＝−.695, <i>p </i>＜.001）の負の相関が有意であった。意識的催眠態度は全体的に肯定的に変化したが，事前の値によってその変化量が異なること，非意識的催眠態度は事前の値によって催眠研修の効果が正反対になることが分かった。催眠研修により，催眠態度は中庸になったことが示唆された。

The guideline for treating irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) recommends psychotherapy in the third stage, after the failure of other standard treatments, and hypnotherapy is listed as one of the evidence-based psychotherapies. However, the efficacy of hypnotherapy for IBS is not well known in Japan, and patients' accessibility to hypnotherapy is low. This paper describes specific evidence and underlying mechanisms and introduces components of hypnotherapy protocols commonly used in past intervention studies. Also, specific innovations in applying hypnotherapy for IBS are described, and challenges and prospects for hypnotherapy in Japan are discussed.

<b>Object</b> : The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of attachment styles on the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on the burden of physical symptoms. Besides, the effects of ACEs on Functional Somatic Syndromes (FSS) and Somatic Symptom and Related Disorders (SSRD) were examined preliminarily.
<b>Methods</b> : A questionnaire survey including ACEs, attachment styles, and the burden of physical symptoms was conducted on 996 adults on the Web.
<b>Results</b> : As a result of the analysis, ACEs exacerbated the burden of physical symptoms directly and indirectly through attachment styles. Furthermore, ACEs significantly increased the morbidity of FSS and SSRD.
<b>Conclusion</b> : The results of this study suggest that ACEs may be associated with an unstable attachment style in the background of exacerbating the burden of physical symptoms.Other Link： https://ndlsearch.ndl.go.jp/books/R000000004-I031324485

本研究は，親切行動を数えることで主観的幸福感を増進する介入（カウンティング介入）を行った先行研究（Otake et al., 2006）のパラダイムを拡張し，カウンティング介入の効果の性差を検討することに加えて，自発的な親切行動の回数を数えてもらうカウンティング介入と親切行動をするよう指示された上でその回数を数えてもらう強制的カウンティング介入の主観的幸福感と人生満足度に対する効果の比較を行った。大学生142 名がカウンティング介入条件と強制的カウンティング介入条件，統制条件に無作為に割り付けられ，1 週間の介入を行った。分析の結果，女性においては，Otake et al.（2006）の結果がほとんど再現されなかったのに対して，男性ではカウンティング介入による否定的な効果と，強制的カウンティング介入条件の肯定的な効果が確認された。しかしながら，介入前の値を統制すると，こうした効果は消失してしまい，介入前の値が高い者は性別や条件に関係なく，介入によって主観的幸福感や人生満足度，親切行動が減少してしまうことが分かった。本研究から，親切行動を意識することによる過正当化効果により，介入後に主観的幸福感や人生満足度，親切行動が減少してしまう可能性について懸念が示された。
This study extended the previous study by Otake et al.（2006）, which conducted an intervention to enhance subjective happiness just by counting acts of kindness（called the counting intervention). We examined sex differences in the effects of the counting intervention on subjective happiness and life satisfaction by comparing the effects of the counting intervention and a coercive counting intervention. The participants in the latter condition were instructed to conduct three acts of kindness a day and count and report them every night. Undergraduate and graduate students（N＝142）were randomly assigned to the counting intervention, the coercive counting intervention, or the control condition during the one-week intervention. The results of men indicated a negative effect of the counting intervention and a positive effect of the coercive counting intervention, whereas these results were rarely replicated in women. However, the effects disappeared after controlling for pre-intervention values. Moreover, the intervention reduced subjective happiness, life satisfaction, and acts of kindness of participants with a high score for each of these before the intervention, regardless of gender. These results suggest that acts of kindness might have decreased after the intervention because of the over-justification effect resulting from the awareness of the acts of kindness.DOI： 10.14990/00003776
