This article looks at differences in how students and teachers view effective language learning. The findings suggest that there are meaningful differences in how students and teachers view what is happening in the classroom which further suggests that the two major players in the classroom may have very different understandings of what is and should be happening in the classroom.

Primarily teaching Study Abroad Preparation courses.

We are working to continue to raise student TOEFL scores and to prepare them for studying abroad in a variety of situations.

We are using a variety of content and language focused learning techniques in order to prepare them to best succeed while studying abroad.

A variety of interactive quizzes, essays, presentations and other devices were used to measure student performance, and advancement over the course of the semester and the school program.
改善点・今後の目標(これからどうするか):
As always, more innovative ways are needed to try to find a way to both boost student investment in the content, and recognition of their ownership of the learning that they are doing.
